A bit about the artist…
Rox De Luca was born in Melbourne, Australia in the 1960s. In 1981 Rox moved to Canberra and completed a Bachelor in Arts (Visual) at the then called Canberra School of Art.
In 1985 Rox moved to Sydney where she lived and worked as a practicing professional visual artist alongside working within the artworld as a Curator and Arts Administrator. Rox has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as working collaboratively with artists, in particular with Perth-based artist Jo Darbyshire.
Since 2007, Rox has been living and working in Madrid. In January 2010, she held a collaborative exhibition Más razones, with Jo Darbyshire at EspacioMenos1 in Madrid. This was their first international collaboration. (See the link on this home page for images from the show).
Rox will be returning to Sydney July 2010 where she will continue to make work for her next project.

Algo sobre la artista
Nació en Melbourne, Australia, en los años sesenta. En 1981 se trasladó a Canberra donde estudió Bellas Artes (Visual) en la entonces llamada Canberra School of Art. En 1985 se mudó a Sydney donde vivió desempeñando su faceta como artista, así como de comisaria de arte y ayudante de comisaria para diversas organizaciones.
Ha participado, tanto individual como colectivamente, en diferentes exposiciones. Ha colaborado en proyectos con distintos artistas, en particular con la artista de Perth, Jo Darbyshire. En 2007 se trasladó a Madrid, España, donde trabajó para un nuevo proyecto con Jo Darbyshire en Madrid.
La exposición conjunta, se llamó Más razones. Más razones se inauguró el día jueves 28 de enero, 2010 en EspacioMenos1, que está situada en c/ La Palma, 28, Madrid . La expo continuó hasta el 14 febrero.
